INTRODUCTION TO CLASSICAL ANIMATION PRINCIPLES: Starts July 13, 2009. Top animators agree: if you’re interested in animating, classical animation is the foundation that makes the difference.
In this course, you will be introduced to the classical principles of SQUASH & STRETCH, SECONDARY & OVERLAPPING ACTION, ANTICIPATION, ACTION & REACTION through several simple animated exercises that will teach the beginning animator about acting and timing on the small screen.
Materials: Note: Animation paper is included in course cost. Col-erase blue and red pencils, B and 2B pencils (* Mechanical pencil optional if preferred-) eraser, scotch tape you will bring with you.
TINA SEEMANN, Director of Animation, is a cartoonist and character designer whose work has appeared on TV Ontario’s, “Polka Dot Door,” “Book Mice” and “Today’s Special” to name a few. Tina is currently designing the characters for the Max the Mutt Animation feature production “The Jazz Bears”. She has taught animation at Sheridan College and the Bell Centre for Creative Communication.
