Description: This program is geared to students who are interested in submitting portfolios for entrance into visual arts programs. The “round robin” concept has been developed so you can sign up for the areas of interest that you would benefit from. As room and space will be limited to 17 students in each session, you should choose your areas of interest soon.
Area 1: Life Drawing Part 1: (Instructed) Students will participate in drawing from the life model using exercises from Nicolades’ “The Natural Way to Draw”. Focusing on short gestures, you will be assisted in learning how to capture the energy of the model. Once the door is closed, entrance will not be permitted so punctuality is mandatory. (3 hours Saturday morning – Part 1) January 24 10am-1:00pm RM 304

Area 3: Portrait drawing techniques and skill building (3 hours Sunday morning) January 25 10:00am-1:00pm RM304
Area 4: Principles of Drawing: students will focus on 2D shapes, line quality, basic composition. (3 hours afternoon – Saturday afternoon) January 24 2:00pm-5:00pm RM303
Area 5: Perspective and Structural Drawing: Students will focus on the fundamentals of 1 & 2 point perspective. (3 hours Saturday morning) January 24 2:00 pm-5:00pm RM307
Area 6: Perspective and Structural Drawing: This is a hands-on class — it will consist of lectures and helpful hints on how to prepare an exterior view of an urban area using 1 and 2 point perspective. (3 hours Sunday morning) January 25 10:00am-1:00pm RM301
Area 7: Perspective and Structural Drawing: This is a hands-on class — it will consist of lectures and helpful hints on how to prepare an exterior view landscape using 1 and 2 point perspective. (3 hours Sunday morning) January 25 10:00am-1:00pm RM307
Area 8: Color theory: Students will participate in a color theory lecture and will practice color mixing using acrylics. (3 hours Sunday afternoon) January 25 2:00pm-5:00pm
Area 9: Cartooning: Helpful hints for creating original characters. (3 hours Sunday afternoon) January 25 2:00pm-5:00pm
Students will have time and be eligible for 4 sessions so must choose from the above.

Very interesting I can not financially afford at this time but I hope it continues so that i can attend i the future , Happy holidays from Nova Scotia.
